During their 50-year reunion, members of the 1954 Petrolia graduating class established the Petrolia Alumni Scholarship Fund (PASF) to assist deserving, qualified graduates of Petrolia High School with initial college expenses.
The PAS Fund received an initial “seed” contribution from Mr. and Mrs. E.O. Martin, former Petrolia HS Principal. Other contributions quickly followed. Your TAX Deductible Contribution will help grow the Fund’s Principal to assist deserving Petrolia HS Graduates.
Tax Exempt Contributions continue to be received by generous donors and are always appreciated, helping to grow the PASF Endowed Fund.
The Petrolia Alumni Scholarship is now administered by the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation.
The first PASF scholarships were awarded in May, 2007, from the fund earnings to two graduating PHS seniors. The Second Annual Charity Concert benefiting the PASF was held on August 11, 2007 at 7:00 PM in the Petrolia High School Auditorium.
The Fund has awarded over $27,000 in scholarship money to deserving Petrolia High School Seniors since awarding the first scholarship in 2007.

Maximize your contribution to the Petrolia Alumni Scholarship Fund by sending it from your IRA’s Annual RMD.
This is typically sent by check from the entity holding or managing your IRA (Fidelity, Schwab, etc.)
Contributions to PASF should be made out to “Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation.” Make sure the memo indicates – “Petrolia Alumni Scholarship Fund.” If needed, the WFACF’s Tax ID is 75-2817894.

Anyone who makes a contribution to the fund will receive an acknowledgement email or card/letter that confirms the donation that can be used for tax purposes. If you don’t receive confirmation correspondence from the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation in a couple of weeks after sending your donation, you may contact the WFACF to make sure the funds were received and have them send you a confirmation/receipt.
